WHO IS BURKENRODTV

BurKenRodTV was birthed on September 11, 2015 in the big city of Nashville, Tennessee by 3 talented brothers who formed a bond of brotherhood from college. Each individual presented a unique sense of spark that puts the glue together into one: Burt is known for his big personality, Kendall is known for his wild humor, and Rod is known for his tech savvy pointers. While together, a feeling of clarity and understanding comes into place. With our platform, we just want to be as authentic as we can to our family, viewers and supporters. Our first commentary was the breakthrough on YouTube for our viewers, which in results, the creativity started flowing, but we needed to expand even more. In the fall of 2015, we stepped out on faith and move to California to reach our goals, while fulfilling our dreams. Today, we presented many content, such as our commentaries for YouTube, open discussion with our peers using FaceBook Live, Thotty Tuesday, Flashback Friday, short films, parodies and much more, but we are just getting started. As we end with our infamous quote “You gotta watch, because someone is ALWAYS watching you.”

Hello,
My name is James Burt. I was born and raised in Milwaukee WI
I graduated from Washington High School in 2005. After high school, I went to Lane College in Jackson, TN (fall, 2005) where I begin my study in Mass Communication. Joined a host of organizations throughout my undergraduate years and completed my program, graduating in 2010 with my Bachelors of Arts degree. I went to Murray State University in Murray KY where I started my Master’s program in Human Development & Leadership and also joined Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia national music organization. I completed my program, graduated in 2013 with my degree. Moved to Nashville, Tennessee where I work plenty of call centers jobs until one day, September 11 of 2015, changed my life and I followed my heart and dreams. BurKenRodTV was founded and that's when I made the decision to move to the great state of California, October 2015

My name is Kendall Harris, and I'm from Memphis, Tennessee.
I am an alumnus of Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. After working in Fraternity and Sorority Life for the last 5 years at Murray State University in Kentucky, I found myself longing for more. I knew there was something missing. There was this urge to entertain and entertain well. After making the decision to quit my master’s program and leave a great job, I chose to relocate to California with my 2 closests friends and fraternity brothers to pursue the entertainment industry. I am apart of BurKenRod TV, an entertainment platform for all to see and enjoy.

My name is Rod Brown, coming from Bessemer, Alabama
My goal in life has always been is to better myself each and every day, which is why I decided to further my education. After 5 years of college, I went on earning my Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science. Moving to Nashville, a bigger city to go into my field, it was a learning and growing experience, but became bored and uninterested. After several different jobs, so did different situations that came as well. In the fall of 2015, myself, along with my 2 fraternity brothers, became overwhelmed, sat on the couch & started putting the plan into motion. It was time to put my degree into use, hence BurKenRodTV was in formation. Although I have always been shy when it comes into entertainment, I look at it as an opportunity to showcase my talent, as well as not letting my education go in vain.
